NFO is a subscription offer to invest in the units of a newly launched Mutual Fund scheme. During the NFO period, investor can buy units at the base net asset value (NAV) i.e. Rs 10 per unit. In an open-ended fund, units can be purchased and sold on a continuous basis even after the initial offering whereas in case of closed-ended funds, units cannot be purchased after NFO period.
